The Doha Institute recognizes the importance of offering diverse and global learning opportunities for its students and as such has established student exchange programs with several leading universities around the world. These exchanges allow our students to gain invaluable exposure to different teaching methodologies, research approaches, and cultural perspectives.
In parallel, these programs allow incoming international students from partner universities to experience the Doha Institute’s academic programs and unique cultural context, thus opening the door for future collaborative endeavors in the academic and professional domains.

Student applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis and then Program Heads and Deans will submit nominations for final selection by the Provost.
The DI will provide administrative support and additional financial assistance for travel and living costs abroad, but it is the student's responsibility to make arrangements for travel, to include any visa processing requirements and to secure suitable accommodation in line with budgetary guidance.

Master students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply:
1) Completed the first year of their academic program at the DI before they proceed for study abroad. 2) Minimum IELTS score of 6 3) Minimum GPA of 3.5 4) No warnings in student file for behavior 5) Study abroad plan approved by the academic advisor (see required template). It is the student's responsibility in consultation with their academic advisor to research the appropriate information about the courses and to design the study abroad plan. |

1) Completed the first 2 years of their academic program at the DI to include the prospectus before they proceed for study abroad. 2) Minimum IELTS score of 6.5 3) Minimum GPA of 3.5 4) No warnings in student file for behavior 5) Study abroad plan approved by the supervisor (see required template). It is the student's responsibility in consultation with their supervisor to research the appropriate information and to design the study abroad plan. |

Master students interested in study abroad for Fall 2026 semester must submit their application before March 10, 2026 through the application link. Students will be notified of the decision approximately in late March 2026 and will then promptly need to confirm their acceptance of the spot.
| PhD students interested in study abroad for Spring 2027 semester must submit their application before March 24, 2026 through the application link. Students will be notified of the decision approximately in late April 2026 and will then promptly need to confirm acceptance of the spot.

Incoming students from partner universities can attend semester long study abroad opportunities at the Doha Institute.
Students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply:
- 1) Minimum IELTS score of 5
- 2) Approved study plan with selected courses (minimum three; maximum four)
- 3) Official nomination from partner university
The DI utilizes Arabic as the primary language of instruction with English as an important secondary language. There are however a number of courses offered in the English language. Please see the
list of such courses updated annually.
Partner universities must send their list of nominated students along with accompanying documentation in accordance with the agreement quotas and the following deadlines:
By
March 10, 2025 for incoming Fall 2025 students.
By
October 10, 2025 for incoming Spring 2026 students.
The Office of International Partnerships (OIP) is the administrative focal point at the DI for international partnerships and agreements across multiple domains. OIP works with the schools, programs, and other administrative departments at the DI to facilitate the effective implementation of these agreements and serves as a primary contact on these matters for our counterparts across the globe. OIP assists in the international mobility of students and faculty and works to strengthen collaborations with foreign institutions in line with strategic goals.
