Welcome to
Doha Institute Alumni Association
The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies’ Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (Office of TLA) partners with faculty to create transformative student learning experiences. By facilitating a deepening consciousness of teaching and learning, promoting innovative, critical pedagogical and social constructivist approaches to teaching, and engaging in continuous assessment of curriculum and instruction – reflective, learner-centered, and research-informed practices are cultivated. Teaching and learning excellence are achieved at the Doha Institute when such methodologies develop learners who demonstrate critical consciousness, professional competence, ethical practice, and scholarly commitment within their disciplines in service to their communities, the Arab region, and the world.
The Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment nurtures an institutional culture of evidence-based, student-centered, and outcomes-guided teaching and learning that effectively prepares graduates to advance academic scholarship and professional practice in response to local, regional, and global needs.
