I am very pleased to welcome you to the newly launched Ph.D. program in humanities and social and administrative sciences at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. I highly appreciate your interest in joining our doctoral studies, which will provide you with a unique, fulfilling and worthwhile scholarly experience at the highest level

The DI is among the top graduate academic institutions in the Arab Middle East, and our faculty members have some of the strongest scholarly backgrounds and research expertise in their respective fields. Our DI community prides itself in having a vibrant and innovative cross-disciplinary approach that guarantees an invigorating research environment.

We hope you will join our doctoral program to benefit from such an environment and to be equipped with the critical and intellectual skills that will broaden your knowledge and prepare you for highly rewarding research and academic careers. I trust that your joining our program will contribute to the richness of our research community at the DI.

برنامح دراسات الدكتوراه

يتوافق جوهر مسار دراسات الدكتوراه في المعهد مع رسالته التي تتمحور حول إنتاج المعرفة في العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية والإدارية باللغة العربية كلغة رئيسة، وبدون إغفال دور اللغات الأخرى في بلوغ هذا الهدف. ويهدف المسار كذلك إلى تدريب أجيال من الباحثين القطريين، والعرب، والطلاب الآخرين الراغبين في الالتحاق بهذا المسار لتمكينهم من متابعة دراساتهم أو الانخراط في تطوير مجتمعاتهم في تخصصاتهم المختلفة. بل أن هذا المسار سيخرّج مجموعة من الباحثين المتعمقين على أعلى مستويات التأهيل العلمي في تخصصاتهم، ومعززا في الوقت ذاته قدرات المعهد على المساهمة في إنتاج المعرفة باللغة العربية.

الرؤية و الرسالة

رسالة مسار دراسات الدكتوراه في معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا، هي تنشئة دارسين متمكنين ومبدعين بحثيا من خلال تدريب ثقافي وأكاديمي، فعال وعابر للتخصصات، سيمتلك طلاب الدكتوراه في المعهد المفاهيم الأساسية، والمنهجيات، والنظريات التي ستمكنهم من التخرج كباحثين متعمقين في مجالاتهم، وواعين بهموم المنطقة العربية وشؤونها الراهنة، وقادرين على الانخراط فيها والتعامل معها في سياقها الإقليمي والدولي.

يعتبر مسار دراسات الدكتوراه خطوة محورية، وحجر زاوية، في تحقيق هدف المعهد ليصبح مركزا دوليا للتميز، والدفع قدما بالمعارف في العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية، وتحسينها. وسيساهم نشر هذه المعارف في تعزيز المجتمع الأكاديمي الخلاق، والنابض بالإبداع والتنوع المتواجد في معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا.
