Travel Grants
A limited number of subsidies for travel expenses and/or accommodation are available for PhD and junior scholars depending on funding availability and on a case-by-case basis.
PhD students who wish to apply for a travel and/or accommodation bursaries should send a CV, the paper they wish to present and a letter of recommendation from their supervisor. Junior scholars should only send a CV and the paper they wish to submit. Priority will be given to PhD students and junior scholars from developing countries.
Please download and fill in the Travel Grant application form. All applications should be submitted via the submit abstract platform.
Visa Information
All visitors, except Qatari and GCC Citizens, require a visa to enter Qatar.
Conference organizers will arrange for visas for conference participants that require visas before arrival. Please ensure you upload your passport copy when registering for the conference. Conference organizers will email you the visa before you depart for Doha.
Travel and Accommodation
Self-funded participants are invited to stay at one of the hotels listed in the table below, at a discounted rate.

*Hotel rates are for bed and breakfast per night, for single occupancy.
Participants are kindly requested to contact the chosen hotel directly and mention their participation in the "International Conference on Migration" hosted by the Doha Institute, in order to be eligible for the institute corporate rates.
Participants are also free to chose another hotel in Doha.
