On Monday October 15, The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) concluded
a cooperation agreement with the University of Jordan.
The agreement, which was signed by University President Dr. Abdel-Karim
al-Qudah and DI Acting Provost, Dr. Yasir Suleiman, aims to consolidate
academic ties, encourage scientific research and establish a solid scientific
partnership directed towards setting up an effective program of academic
cooperation and exchange. The agreement will also greatly benefit outstanding
students at the University of Jordan, giving them the opportunity to pursue post-graduate
studies at the DI.
Commenting on the agreement, the acting DI Provost said that under the
agreement, the DI will grant scholarships to students from the University of
Jordan in various fields of study and research. Dr. Suleiman further explained
that the beneficiaries of the scholarships, which will be announced at the
beginning of fall each year, will be students with a grade of very good and

The partnership between the two institutions, added
Dr. al-Qudah, will enable outstanding students with a Bachelor's degree to
pursue post-graduate studies at the DI in fields such as the social sciences,
humanities, public administration, development economics, psychology, social
work, and conflict management and humanitarian action
