 Both sides agreed to jointly develop training programs to enhance human capacity and productivity of NHRC employees​​​.

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Human Rights Committee which included several articles to improve mutual cooperation.

President of the DI's Board of Trustees, Dr. Azmi Bishara and HE Dr. Ali Bin Samikh Al Marri, Chairman of the NHRC signed the agreement at the DI on Thursday, September 22, 2016.  Both sides agreed to jointly develop training programs to enhance human capacity and productivity of NHRC employees.  The agreement also included implementing joint initiatives to increase public awareness about human rights issues, as well as, working together to develop a human rights strategy to be part of the national development strategy for 2017-2022.

The signing ceremony was attended by leaders of both organizations.
