The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has announced the opening of admissions for the Doctoral Studies Program for the academic year 2022-2023.
Eligible students wishing to apply for doctoral studies and have met the minimum admission requirements should complete the electronic application on DI's official website which starts on 16 November 2021 until 01 March 2022.
In this context, Dr. Mohammed El Nawawy, Director of the Board of Doctoral Studies stated that the selection of students for doctoral studies will be based on competitiveness and academic merit. By launching these programs, the DI aims to train generations of researchers from Qatar and other Arab countries in order to enable them to pursue their doctoral studies and engage in the development of their communities.
El Nawawy mentioned that the doctoral studies program at the DI is one of the most extensive in of its kind in the region. The Doha Institute devotes itself entirely to the teaching of social, humanities and administrative sciences, which make it unique in its identity, academic character and research sources. The doctoral studies will contribute to achieving the goal of the Doha Institute as an international hub for excellence, advancing and improving knowledge.
The DI is offering doctoral studies in eight programs: Development economics, linguistics and Arabic lexicography, history, political science and international relations, critical security studies, media studies, sociology and public administration.
