​On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Mogadishu with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two sides in scientific research and areas of common interest. The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdul-Wahab Al-Affendi, the President of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Dr. Abdulrahman Muallem Abdullah, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mogadishu University.

The MoU, which was signed at the headquarters of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, aims to support communication between the two parties and establish scientific cooperation between them. This contributes to promoting research projects, scientific and knowledge production, exchanging experiences and experts, organizing joint events such as forums, conferences, and lectures, and preparing studies and research on topics of common interest.

The MoU also aims at attracting distinguished undergraduate students from Mogadishu University, who meet the admission requirements according to the admission policy adopted by Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and providing grants according to what is available at the institute.
