On March 4, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) and the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering joint cooperation to enhance projects and activities in agreed research fields and related scientific work.

The MoU was signed by Dr Yasir Suleiman, Acting Provost of the Doha Institute, and Her Excellency Basma Ishaqat, Jordan’s Minister of Social Development. Areas of cooperation covered in the MoU include the exchange of expertise and experts in the fields of psychology and social work; the provision of practical and summer training for students from the DI School of Psychology and Social Work at the Ministry’s specialist centers and establishments in Jordan; the holding of seminars, workshops, and conferences and the undertaking of research in subjects of common interest. In addition, the MoU also makes provision for academic and professional consultancies along with the training of members working under the umbrella of the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development in specialisms taught at the Doha Institute

The signing ceremony took place at the Doha Institute in the attendance of the Jordanian Ambassador to Doha, Deans and Heads of programs from the DI, representatives of the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development and other relevant officials.
