The Doha Institute of Graduate Studies organized an orientation session for its third batch of students for the academic year 2017-2018.  The event took place in today in the presence of the of Dr. Yasir Suleiman Malley, Acting President of the DI and Dr. Hend Al Muftah, Vice President for Administration and Finance as well as deans and heads of programs.

The orientation aimed to familiarize students with the university environment as well as the rules and regulations governing academic studies.  In addition, new students were informed about services available to students and campus life.

More than 174 students were offered admission to study at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies for the academic year 2017-2018.  They have been recruited from several Arab countries among them 72 Qatari students.  They will be studying in one of the 15 master's programs offered.  The School of Social Sciences and Humanities accepted 68 students, whereas 70 students were accepted at the School of Public Administration and Development Economics.  In addition, 15 students were admitted to the Centre for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies. Also, the new School of Behavioral Sciences accepted 21 students, the new School offers two master's programs: Psychology and Social Work.
