The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has announced the acceptance of students for the Fall of 2020 semester. The total number of students admitted reached 279 out of 10,000 applications submitted form Arab nations and other countries. The admitted students are distributed into 17 Master Programs, with 208 in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 71 in the School of Public Administration and Development Economics, with a majority of Qatari students (79 in total).
The Department of Admission, Registration and Student Services said all the applications were examined and reviewed, besides evaluating the students’ abilities and skills through personal interviews. Pointing out that the admission was based on several evaluation indicators, including the students’ distinguished academic achievements at the undergraduate level, their knowledge in the field they want to enroll in, proficiency in Arabic and English, and their contribution to community service, among other indicators.
DI announced the graduation of 153 students of its fourth cohort last May 2020, where the new admitted students for the Fall of 2020 semester represents the sixth batch of accepted students.
