The Office of Registration, Admissions and Student Affairs at the Doha Institute (DI) has announced the admission of 288 Master’s students for the academic year (2019-2020). The students were selected from 2446 applicants from the Arab region and worldwide. The deadline for admission was on February 15, 2019.
The admitted students will enroll in 17 different Master’s programs offered by the Doha Institute. 216 students were admitted to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and 72 to the School of Public Administration and Development Economics. All applications for admission to the DI’s programs were subject to a thorough examination and assessment, which included interviews conducted with DI professors. The students were selected on the basis of their academic achievements in their undergraduate studies, proficiency in Arabic and English, knowledge in the area of specialization, and contribution to the service of their community. Qatar was at the top of the list of admitted students with a total number of 86 Qatari students, 30 per cent of the students admitted.
The courses will start on September 1st, 2019 and the admission to the new academic year 2019-2020 will open on October 1, 2019. This is the fifth cohort of students admitted to the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. The first cohort of students started their graduate studies at the DI in 2015.
