The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has announced the results of enrolment for the Masters’ Programs for the academic year 2023-2024 which is 308 students. The DI has received more than 14,000 applications from different countries all around the world. 

The applicants are distributed over the 19 different Master’s programs offered by the DI, with 207 students in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 101 students in the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. 

At the rate of 35%, Qatari students have topped the list of admissions for this year which were received during the admission period that lasted till 20 January 2023. 


Dr Ibrahim Fraihat, Dean of Students Affairs, clarified that all students’ applications for the different programs undergo a competitive evaluation process and include personal interviews with the teachers of the DI. The main evaluation indicators were the outstanding academic achievement of the student at the undergraduate level, research capabilities, proficiency in both Arabic languages, the student’s knowledge in his own major and their contribution to the community. 


As per the academic calendar of the DI, 20 August 2023  will mark the start of the academic year 22023-2024  as the ninth cohort of DI students since its start in 2015. Admission for the academic year 2024 – 2025 will be open on 1 September 2023.

It is worth noting that the graduation ceremony of the seventh cohort was held on 18 May 2023 celebrating 186 Master graduates.
