Rabia Naguib
Associate Professor
Public Policy

Dr. Rabia Naguib is Associate professor in the program of Public Policy at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. She holds a PhD in Strategic management with a minor in Philosophy from HEC Montréal. She has an excellent publication record and an established teaching and research experience in Canada, UK and GCC universities. Prior to joining the DI, Dr. Naguib was a faculty member at the University of Sharjah (UAE) where she held the position of Director of the Executive MBA. She received the distinguished Faculty Member Award for Scientific Research and Teaching (2011). She also taught as Local Tutor postgraduate students at the University of Leicester and supervised DBA students as a Visiting Fellow at Nottingham Trent University. She acted as a supervisor, co-supervisor, second reader and external examiner for several EMBA, MPA, MPP dissertations, as well as DBA, and PhD theses. She has also been a reviewer for reputable academic journals such as American Sociological Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and Management International. She published in international peer reviewed journal such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Gender in Management, Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Revue Internationale de gestion. She received many research grants, notably from GERPA (Gender Economic Research and Policy Analysis), and QNRF (Qatar National Research Fund) as LPI and PI. She also serves as member of the editorial board of notably Istishraf for Foresight Studies and Hakama.


Education:

PhD in Strategic Management (minor in philosophy) and MSc in Management (minor in Anthropology) from HEC Montreal.

"Role of the Public Sector in      Empowering Women in Qatar and the Arab Gulf Countries'. Granted research project QNRF (NPRP9-279-5-034) as LPI in collaboration with Dr. Hend Al Muftah (DI) and Dr. Mohamed Alkadry (University of Florida). Granted amount: US$ 454,692.

"Localizing Entrepreneurship Education in Qatar: Qatar National Vision 2030 and Beyond". Granted research project QNRF (NPRP10-1203-160007) as PI in collaboration with Dr. Mohamed Tok (HBKU). Granted amount: US$ 458,457.

"Managerial values in the UAE": Research project granted a competitive grant from the College of Research and graduate studies from the UOS. Granted amount: US$ 25.000

"Women and entrepreneurship in Dubai City: Barriers, Potentials and Policy Implications" Research proposal in collaboration with Dr. Fatemeh Mogaddam. Received grant from GERPA (Gender Economic Research and Policy Analysis) funded by the World Bank. Granted amount: US$ 75.000
