Ferdoos Alissa
Assistant Professor

Ferdoos Abed Rabo Al-Issa holds a Ph.D in Mental Health and counseling from Ain Shams University in Egypt. She holds two master's degrees; one is in community mental health which she received from Al-Quds University, and another MA in disability counseling received from Flinders University in Australia. Dr. Ferdoos served as chairperson of the Social Science department at Bethlehem university and coordinate the MA program in Social Work 2021. Recently, Dr. Alessa is working as Assistant Professor at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar.
She was trained in EMDR in USA, Germany, Palestine, Turkey, Jordan, and Kosovo. She has also participated in many international and local conferences on mental health, psychological counseling, and social work.
She is on the editorial board of Bethlehem University Journal and  in Class and Status journal of Critical Approaches to Social Divisions.  Her latest publications include Shalhoub-Kevorkian, N., Wahab, S.,&  Abed-Rabo Al-Issa, F.(2022).
