Outreach Arabic Training
Last summer,Alaa Elgibali, director of the LC, conducted a series of training sessions for the faculty, department chairs and deans at the Defense Language Institute in California, the largest school for AFL in the world. The training focused on reaching higher proficiency level, designing curriculum and developing teaching material for Arabic.
Training for Career
The LC assists the prospective graduates of the DI in enhancing their potential to compete in the job market. To this end Alaa Elgibali delivered two intensive sessions to these graduates, with focus on resume organization and writing, strategies for securing job interviews, due diligence prior to and follow up post interviews. The attendees found the sessions to be most useful in launching their prospective careers.
