The Center offers its students specialized tailored training in Arabic for academic purposes, as well as offering its staff training in Arabic for professional purposes to comply with Qatar's policy of using Arabic as the official language of communication.

In addition, the Center offers courses in Arabic for non-native speakers and heritage learners.  Furthermore, the Center launched a specialized content/language module for the DI's prospective study abroad students:  DI Graduate Fellow Residence Program in Advanced Arabic Language and Social Studies.

While Arabic is the primary language of instruction, DI regards English as an important component in preparing its students to contribute to the international academic scene and thus requires that all students demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English. The LC implements the DI's English language admission and graduation policies and assists the students in meeting the requirements by offering training in academic English, with focus on analytical reading and oral discussions and presentations.
